ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) is an electronic travel permit that allows you to enter the United Kingdom.
The application is submitted online, and the decision is issued by UK Visas and Immigration.

An ETA is required for anyone who does not hold British citizenship or immigration status that allows them to stay in the UK. This includes children — even infants.
It is valid for 2 years and is electronically linked to your passport.
If you lose your passport or it expires, you are required to apply for a new ETA.
